No. Redeeming your invite code is free, installing on every platform is free, and using the app is free. There is no payment step anywhere in that path. The one thing that does cost money — Founder Lifetime Ghost Sync, $49 — is never sold to you directly; it has to be earned first. See the next few questions.

Drop your email below — it’s free to apply. Not everyone gets in: we pick people who’ll actually use the app and report bugs. Invites open in small batches, and we send exactly one message, the day you’re accepted.

Because there’s no app store listing and no public download URL yet — the founder sends your build link by hand, so we need somewhere to send it. It’s used for exactly that: getting your download link to you, and reaching you about the beta if needed. It’s never linked to your vault, your notes, or anything you write once you’re using the app — the zero-knowledge design covers the product, not the outreach needed to get it to you before it has a real distribution channel.

Not yet — sync is deliberately switched off for this private beta, so your notes have no path off the device you write them on. That is the point: the beta runs with the smallest possible attack surface while we harden the vault. If you go on to earn a Founder Lifetime invite, it switches on for you when sync ships.

Ghost Sync — encrypted sync across your devices, encrypted cloud backup, and note sharing — for $49 once instead of the usual $4 a month, capped at 500 seats (a first batch of 100 codes is live now). There is exactly one way to earn a code: finish four real weeks of testing (a weekly check-in, real notes, and bug reports). It cannot be bought without one. Apple forbids distributing a TestFlight beta in exchange for payment of any kind, so nothing on this page can be a purchase you make to test. Checkout only exists behind a real, single-use code — and the only way to get one is by actually testing. Once you’ve earned it, redeeming is immediate; there’s no separate waiting period on top of that.

Probably not. Text is capped at 10GB — millions of notes, even long, detailed ones. Media (photos, attachments, voice notes) is capped at 25GB, roughly 6,000 photos or 400 hours of voice notes. If you outgrow either, upgrading to the $4/month Ghost Sync plan adds more room any time — that path stays open after redemption.

Codes are case-insensitive and trim whitespace. Double-check the full string — it’s 8 characters, letters and numbers, like 7f3a9c21, not a word or a phrase. If it still fails, email founder@prevonprivacy.com and we’ll sort it out.

Three things, every week, for as long as the beta runs: answer a one-line check-in inside the app, write notes in the vault you would actually want to keep, and report bugs the moment you hit them — also from inside the app. The whole job is a couple of minutes a week.

You keep the build on every device you installed it on, and it keeps working — the app never depends on us and was never something you paid for. What you don’t get is the Founder Lifetime invite or the limited-edition icon — both are earned strictly by finishing the four weeks, and neither can be bought instead.

Four weeks, starting the day you redeem. Four weekly check-ins, four weeks of real notes, and bug reports as you go. Complete those four weeks and the founder emails you a Founder Lifetime code plus the limited-edition icon — redeemable immediately for $49 once.

The life of the product: the current major version, plus security fixes, for as long as Prevon exists. It doesn’t cover major new modules added later — those may cost extra. We’ll always say so plainly rather than quietly widen or narrow what “lifetime” means after you’ve paid.
